When it comes to cooling, we like to know that our food is stored safely and sustainably. With a focus on food waste, you can use the Home Connect app to check the contents of your fridge thanks to Inventory list. Making it easier to shop smart and waste less. Whilst you are out shopping, you can also turn on Super Cool and Super Freeze functions to ensure that your appliances are at the optimum temperature to protect your new groceries, as well as your existing ones. Say, you’re not at home, there’s a power cut, and the temperature in your freezer or fridge starts to increase. You would want to know, right? Maybe someone at home has left the fridge door open, using up precious energy. Home Connect will make sure your weekly shop doesn’t go to waste – by simply sending you a push notification as soon as the temperature changes significantly.

To look after groceries, make sure to set up Super Cool & Super Freeze functions while you're shopping. This cools down your fridge and freezer making it the right temperature for optimum food storage when you get home.

With IFTTT (If This Then That) you can automate Super Cool & Super Freeze activation based on your location so when you’re at the supermarket your fridge sets the functions automatically for you.

Thanks to the inventory list, Home Connect always knows what you have in stock and can provide relevant delicious recipes. Fill your inventory list by ticking something off from your Home Connect shopping list, and get a notification before your food goes off.

Ideal storage and temperatures depend on what produce you have. To ensure you are getting the most out of your fridge freezer you can change the presets for each compartment of your American Style / Multi-Door fridge freezer.

Are you already at the airport or relaxing at the beach and only just realised you forgot to manually turn on the Holiday Mode on you fridge freezer?

No problem! Holiday Mode can be set remotely and will save energy while you’re away. This happens by raising the temperature slightly as the fridge door will not be opened while you’re away.
