Everything you need to get creative in the kitchen
I never thought I’d be so impressed with a kitchen appliance. The Bosch MUM5XW49GB is absolutely incredible. It has everything you need in one super stylish piece. Every attachment you could need to from baking cakes to bread it’s all there. With the addition of a grater, coffee grinder and smoother blender, you literally don’t need anything else just this one machine. Every detail has been thought out, no need for weighing scales because they are built in, no long cord that gets in the way because that’s also built in. Everything has been designed to save space and time which in this climate its super important to spend less money on additional equipment. When it comes to baking I’m a beginner and my worry was safety using equipment like this. I’m really pleased this has splash guards not only does that deter little hands or inquisitive people it makes it a lot safer to use. When changing tools it’s easy and really safe because you have to stop the machine and lift up the arm. Everything is easy to attach and detach. There is a speed setting on the right side of the machine so it’s easy to find what works for you. The plus also has a wind in mechanism you don’t have to worry about trying to tie it up or it awkwardly hanging. The attachments also come in a very handy storage bag, no more looking in draws and cupboards or misplacing pieces. I love everything about this machine it’s lightweight, the prefect size even for those with very limited counter space. It does all the hard for you. Those with reduced arm strength will really benefit from the addition of having the grating feature. It’s also extremely easy to clean parts after use. Overall it’s an amazing tool for the kitchen. I would highly recommend it. You won’t need to buy anything else. In my opinion this is perfect product for someone who likes saving space and time. It would also make the most amazing gift especially house warming or newly weds.

A great value machine
This machine offers a lot for the price point. It may not be as sturdy as some of the high-end mixers but to be honest, I wouldn’t expect it to. It is made of plastic but coupled with its compact size, this means it is lightweight and easy to get in and out of cupboards. If you wanted to leave it out on the side, it’s a handsome looking machine with a clean modern aesthetic. I appreciate it’s 3.9 L stainless steel bowl which is sturdy and great quality. With a wide range of attachments from slicers, graters and a coffee bean grinder - to a full set of mixer attachments, it is a very versatile machine. The blending jug does feel rather cheap and plastic, although does the job and offers an alternative to purchasing a stand alone machine. I love the integrated scales and timer which are a brilliant addition and work really well. The splashguard fits really well on the bowl, however could do with a cover for the very wide liquid hole, which whilst makes it really easy to add liquid, does mean the ingredients can escape out (especially icing sugar!!) I’m really impressed with the 3-D planetary mixing which brings all the ingredients together and creates the perfect mix with nothing left behind.

Multiple uses
I wanted to use a lot of the functions of this set before I reviewed it. This is no ordinary mixer, this is a multi function machine! The mixer as you’d expect from Bosch is great, it looks sleek, this white and champagne colour is neutral and it could work in with any kitchen design. The splash protecting lid also allows you to add liquids etc without removing the whole lid and the lead automatically goes back in the machine which is excellent for storage. You get a blender, which is great for smoothies. A to go bottle is also included. The continuous shredder comes with 4 different discs (which all go in a cute accessory bag, so they are safe and in one place) which are for chopping and dicing, I love doing home made crisps with a variety of root vegetables. Finally there’s the chopper blade and storage jar, coffee beans are no problem for this. It’s easy to change the accessories to whatever one you need at the time. Overall this is a great multipurpose set and is well worth buying.
