Coffee machine display shows 'empty drip tray'

Error:

This error can occur if the drip tray is soiled and wet. It can also occur when emptying is not detected when the appliance is switched off.

Solutions:

Clean the drip tray thoroughly to remove any dirt and moisture. Then, when the appliance is switched on, remove and re-insert the drip tray.
