What is PerfectDry and how does it work?
PerfectDry is Bosch’s advanced drying system that uses a moisture‑absorbing mineral (Zeolith) or optimized drying technology in some models to turn humidity into heat, improving drying performance. The result is drier dishes and glassware at the end of the cycle compared with conventional drying systems. Note that not all Bosch models use Zeolith—check the model specs or manual to confirm.
Do I still need to use rinse aid and specific programs?
Yes using rinse aid and choosing the right program helps PerfectDry deliver the best results. Rinse aid reduces water spots and improves water runoff; drying performance can also vary by program (e.g., Intensive/Extra Dry cycles typically dry better than low‑temperature cycles).
Why are some plastics still wet after the cycle?
Plastics often stay cooler and hold moisture more than ceramics or glass, so they can be least dry. To improve results, place plastics on the top rack, use an Extra Dry or higher‑temperature program, avoid nesting items, and consider opening the door slightly at the end of the cycle to let steam escape.
How do I maintain PerfectDry performance?
Keep the dishwasher well maintained: clean the filter and spray arms regularly, ensure spray paths aren’t blocked, keep the rinse aid reservoir filled, and avoid overloading. Don’t attempt to access or service internal components such as the Zeolith chamber—refer servicing to an authorized technician.
What is Zeolith and does it need replacing?
Zeolith is a natural mineral used in some PerfectDry models to absorb moisture and release heat. It’s sealed in the dishwasher and requires no user maintenance or replacement; it’s designed to last for the appliance’s lifetime.
