How to remove melted plastic from an induction hob

Accidentally placed a plastic item on your hob whilst it was still hot? Removing plastic from your Bosch hob isn’t difficult when you have the right accessories needed.

Step by step guide

1. Put a generous amount of baking soda on the area where the plastic has melted.
2. Add a few tea spoons of vinegar so that it covers the baking soda until it turns into a homogeneous mixture.
3. Use a non-abrasive cloth and start wiping the affected area.
4. Use a Glass Scraper for better cleaning results and a safe way to remove plastic deposits from your hob.
5. Wipe thoroughly with soapy water.

To ensure your hob has been properly cared for, you can also use our powerful Hob Cleaner, which leaves a protective seal and an attractive finish. Also available as a pack in the Maintenance Pack for Induction Hobs along with the Glass Scraper.
