  • TempOK When being ironed, some fabrics require more heat and some require less. That's not a problem. TempOK is an indicator that reliably tells you when the desired temperature has been reached. The display will flash while the appliance is still heating up or cooling down, until it reaches the choosen temperature. Although you can still iron, you have not yet attained the right temperature level. As soon as the selected temperature setting is reached, the display will light up continuously.
  • DripStop
DripStop The DripStop function is a built-in control in the iron, which independently controls the temperature of the water flow. This prevents water droplets and unsightly water marks on fabrics. After all, there is nothing more annoying than having to put a garment back in the washing basket instead of being able to place it on the pile of ironed laundry. DripStop also works even at low temperatures.
  • i-Temp
i-Temp i-Temp is a function that enables fast and safe ironing with only one temperature — without having to give it too much thought or change any settings. The best thing is that you can enjoy this convenient function with all ironable fabrics.
  • 3AntiCalc
3AntiCalc All good things come in threes — this applies to the service life of an appliance too. The 3AntiCalc function, as the name implies, is a threefold function comprising SelfClean, Calc'nClean and a built-in AntiCalc System. It effectively prevents the build-up of limescale in your appliance and reliably increases the service life of your Bosch iron.

  • 200 g steam shot
200 g steam shot Some fabrics are so thick and have such stubborn creases that you feel you are not getting anywhere when you iron them. This is not the case with Bosch appliances with the above-average steam shot level of 200 g. Using these appliances, a single touch of a button is all that is needed — even problematic fabrics stand no chance against this level of steam shot. Faster than ever, more reliable than ever.

  • AdvancedSteam System
AdvancedSteam System Leave nothing to chance when it comes to ironing. You can rely on our innovative AdvancedSteam System with an optimal and powerful steam output rate. It allows a targeted distribution of the steam over the fabric and deeper penetration into the fabric. How? Using a refined system and the interaction of steam channels, outlet wholes and guides. This targeted steam makes ironing easier and also brings you to your goal faster: a pile of ironed laundry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great safety featuresSubmitted as part of a selected review panel. Love this iron. There is no sorting of clothes when using this iron, the temperature is adjusted automatically. I have ironed heavy jeans and then delicate clothes with no manual temperature selection. I find my ironing is done in no time.I left the iron down on a shirt for some time and no burn or scald marks, so is extra safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good iron and simple to use.Submitted as part of a selected review panel. On first inspection the iron has a rather retro look to it and my concern was that the silver door which covers the reservoir filling point could snap off. Having used the iron I do not believe this to be of any great concern now as the iron is built to Bosch's usual high standards. There are surprisingly few dials and knobs to play with on the iron and I say this as a plus point. Too many irons have far too many controls, most of which are never used. The Bosch iron's intelligent system of knowing what it is ironing and how hot it should be is excellent and takes most of the worry away from burning your clothes. It has a steam button and it has a water spray button - simple. I also like the hand sensor whereby the iron knows whether you are using it or not and will stop heating up, a good safety feature. I would not say the iron actually irons anything better than a lot of other irons but I have no complaints over it's performance. Cord storage is a little disappointing, I felt this was a bit "old fashioned", the cord is simply wrapped around the end of the iron, there is no storage space for it but then that would only make the iron bigger. Overall it is a very well made iron, simple to use and it makes a decent job of pressing the clothes, with a quirky retro look to it, combined with modern technology. If I had to rate this iron out of 10 I would say it deserves an 8. A little pricey but it is a well made quality product from Bosch as you would expect. Only time will tell if the iron is as well made as I think it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic iron love itSubmitted as part of a selected review panel This iron is totally amazing, the best function this iron has is that you do not need to adjust the temperature at all the iron does all the work for you, hence cutting my ironing time in half. The iron has a sensor on the hand part which is fantastic and a great safety feature. A very well designed stylish thought through product the only downside is you still have to do the ironing. Saying that with this iron I have actually enjoyed doing the ironing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A big iron that works very well!Submitted as part of a selected review panel. This is a large iron and is clearly designed for steaming clothing. It is comfortable in the hand and moves well across the materials we tried it on, and the settings dial for different materials works very well. However, due to its size and weight I personally found it a bit cumbersome, in that it seems too broad across the ironing surface. I would have preferred a slimmer front end to enable easier ironing in some areas. For example, ironing the main part of a shirt is fine, but smaller areas such as the sleeves proved tricky. However, this could just be because I'm used to a smaller iron. Inserting water to the reservoir is simple using the jug provided. After use though, I discovered that I had not expelled all the water before trying to replace the iron in the box after it had cooled down. I thought there was no more water left when suddenly a further amount of water ran from the base – almost into the box. This was not something I had experienced with other steam irons. This one needs careful emptying before putting it away and needs to be tipped at several angles to disperse the water. Again, this could just be a case of getting used to a new iron. Just a small niggle, but it is still a good iron and one that I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the single temperature setting!Submitted as part of a selected review panel. I have now had this iron for 4 weeks and I am impressed with the sleek design, the ease of use and the lightness of this product! I have tried it on different fabrics, from cotton to silk and nylon and it has performed wonderfully! No issues whatsoever and it has reduced my ironing time by half. The iron has an easy to fill water reservoir with a self clean feature, a long and flexible cord and automatic shut off when not used. I love this iron and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to buy one to help them find more free time :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EffortlessAs a person who hates ironing with a vengeance this is possibly the best invention ever, no temperature control (which confused my husband) and a brilliant safety control as it turns itself off if you leave it for a few minutes, it also irons everything effortlessly. I had some jeans that had been in the cupboard for 12mths, this iron glided through them then I put it straight onto my silk shirt, no sticking or burning just a nice smooth glide across the material. No more ruining white shirts with burnt iron plates or spurting brown sludge when pressing the steam as it's got a calc clean feature which is very easy to use. I would recommend this iron to anyone especially if you have teenagers, as there's no excuse for not doing there own because they cannot burn anything. As a fan of Bosch products this just adds to my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Bosch Sensixx's DA70 EasyComfort IronSubmitted as part of a selected review panel. I am in the fortunate position of being randomly selected to test another Bosch Iron - Fab! On this occasion this is a rather special iron as it has no manual temperature selection, in fact in the words of 'Bosch', "...Ironing has never been this simple and safe. No presorting. No adjustments. Maximum safety...". The Sensixx's DA70 EasyComfort iron is exactly that, easy and comfortable to use. This may sound rather odd, but it feels reassuringly well built and good to hold!! The iron uses i-Temp, which is a single temperature setting for all ironable fabrics. This is initially freaky as I did wonder what would happen when going from a low heat item of clothing to one which requires maximum heat. So far however it has worked faultlessly. I have some machine washable suits which tend to go shiny like some of the fashion in the 80's if ironed at the usual maximum heat they get exposed to. They really need medium heat so they were the ideal fabric to test with this iron with its single temperature. I am very pleased to report that this iron did no harm - phew!. In fact it was easy to use and did a good job. After several weeks of testing including my my mother-in-law who does a fair bit of our ironing I am very pleased to confirm that my shirts and trousers are now safer than the previous manual temperature control iron. I can see my other adjustable temperature Bosch iron going into retirement or only being used for special occasions. The Bosch Sensixx's DA70 EasyComfort Iron will be made more available leaving me with the confidence that my clothes will survive regardless of who irons them. The CeraniumGlissée soleplate has steam channels and three phase design — for optimum steam distribution and perfect gliding. Other great features of the iron include sensor secure: the iron switches off when put down, and heats up extremely quickly when picked up again. It also has a good quality 3m cable which can be coiled around the heal of the iron in storage. All in all for the build quality and simplistic operation I would strongly recommend.
