How can I recycle Tassimo T-Discs?

Tassimo have teamed up with a company called Terracycle who “upcycle” T-Discs to make new eco-friendly products.

How do I descale a Tassimo coffee machine?

The descale icon will appear after approximately 400 cups. To carry this out you need the Service T-Disc which can be found stored behind the water tank and our approved and tested Descaling Tablets. Place the Service T-Disc in the T-Disc holder and close the lid. Pour 500ml of water into the water tank and place a container of at least 500ml onto the cup stand. Put a descaling tablet into the tank.

Press and hold the start /stop button for at least 3 seconds to start the descaling programme. The programme will run for 20 minutes. At the end of the programme, the fill tank indicator will show. Empty container of fluid and fill the water tank up to the maximum amount.

Open and close the brewing unit and press the start /stop button. The machine will rinse itself. Repeat this step another 4 times. The descaling process is complete.
